Mind Maps, Words And Lines.

This is two sets of mind maps I've made that I haven't really used, but I think they're relevant anyways.

Mind map for the word "Party" - 2022

This is a mind map for the word "Party", I was asked to do this to generate more ideas of what a party could be defined as, along with what is in parties. I originally drew this on paper, but its not very easy to read, so I recreated it digitally, and I like the digital version more. For details about the drawn one, I just used a ball pen and some markers to colour which lines belong where, whilst this digital recreation was made on photoshop using the brush tool.

To me, this came out how I wanted, a cool wide mind map that sparked a whole lot of ideas (that I sadly never used, but still) to create an in depth final piece. The only thing I especially like about this mind map is the bottom left corner, were I exploded in ideas when I introduced "RAVE" as a sub node.

There isn't anything too much I would change about this mind map, all the pieces of information is quite relevant to the topic at hand, but there are some spelling mistakes I would correct, like "ocasion" in the "Theme/ocasion" point. But in contrast, I would add a lot more onto the piece, and not just in points, but I also forgot some nodes and subsides. For instance I forgot to connect "RAVE" to the "Clubs" point, meaning it isn't associated with the topic at hand in the slightest. I also forgot to create a node linking "themes/ocasion" with "party".

For if I were to ever go back to tis, I don't think I would unless I am going to be doing a brief that all has the topic of party in.

Mindmap for the word "RAVE" - 2022

This is another mind map, but this has the same information and a little extra. I mainly made this so its easier to read into the topic of "RAVE" with more clear text and even a funky central hub. This was also drawn first, before I took it into photoshop to then change the colour of the paper to the beige you'll see in a lot of these pieces.

I think this piece is a bit unesssery I will be hones, but I still think its been produced quite well, with clear points, nodes and subsides, along with the aforementioned funky central hub, I also like how I've chosen to go more in depth with some of my topics, although I will touch on this later into this blog post.

I would say the as successful in its purpose, I think it was, which was making new ideas for graphics, but then again I didn't use any of those said ideas so maybe it wasn't so successful.

If I were to change this, I would make the nodes from the central hub more evenly spaced so you can read it better, along with using a thicker black pen so its easier to read. apart from that though, I think it looks pretty good.

If I wanted to develop this further, I feel like I would go more into the drinks, along with go into the common colours used, the music that is usually played, the time of day (I forgot to write more about that) and the possibly dance moves that you might see. I could go on but I don't wanna write a whole bunch of pointless stuff.

I don't think I would revisit this either, its too specific to use for another brief, but I am more then open to being wrong, so lets see. But for now, not that I know of.
