This is for my biggest board that's all about parties. It is huge, and in consequence, has an awful lot of things I like, but here, I'm mainly going to focus on the part that inspired me mainly for posters, since its the only thing that, for me, really inspired me to make a piece, whilst the rest were random ideas I had from tasks I was given to complete.

A Screen Capture Of My Pinterest Board, 'Parties, a conversation.' - 2022

As you can see, my first test with Adobe Illustrator was directly inspired by this board, within the bottom leftish corner, you can see the photo that I traced for the vector art. With this too, you can really tell I like the idea of disco balls, which also inspired the photoshop poster I made for the theme. This was made by, well, using Pinterest, like looking up key phrases, then letting its algorithm guide what I would look at next, which was something I always liked.

Was it successful? Well, with the goal of this to inspire me to make a piece, this is by far the most helpful, because it inspired me to make multiple! I think the reason why is just because I found things I truly;y do like, along with imagery that really spoke to me, and formed what a party could truly be.

How could I develop this further? By simply adding more images to the board, that still reminds me of parties, but different, if you know what I mean. For example, rather than continuing to add pictures of disco balls, I could move on to concerts, since to me they are a different type of party, whilst still being visually interesting, which could move me into other ideas and so it continues.

Is this something I would revisit? I absolutely, I'm thinking of always adding to this board, simply because then I can look through it for other inspiration, even if the brief isn't about parties.
